About Zeplin Holdings

Zeplin Holdings is a family-owned investment firm focused on acquiring and growing small businesses in the tri-state region. We take a long-term, relationship-driven approach to investing.We bring Wall Street experience and family values together to serve as a trusted partner and acquiror. Whether through a full transition or partnership, we seek to grow businesses while respecting their unique people and history.We aim to acquire and build strong businesses meeting the following criteria:

  • $0.5M - $5.0M of EBITDA, with a high level of recurring revenue, stable margins, strong cash flow generation, and opportunities for growth and operational improvement

  • Mature, stable, and growing end markets with non-cyclical demand, well-defined barriers to entry, low risk of technological obsolescence, and opportunities for consolidation

  • Preference for majority investments, but flexible to different structures, including both minority investments and other partnerships. We plan to invite any seller to roll over equity

Team: Who We Are

Ryan Zeplin

Ryan graduated with a BBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business in 2021. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Rothschild & Co, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions across Industrials and Business Services. He then worked as a private equity associate at KPS Capital Partners, where he focused on acquiring and growing manufacturing businesses.

Ethan Zeplin

Ethan graduated with a BBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business in 2023. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Solomon Partners, advising on mergers and acquisitions across various industries including Grocery, Pharmacy & Restaurants, Media & Entertainment, and Fintech.
